HA Thirteen’s work is influenced by his roots as a graffiti writer, along with his love/hate relationship for politics, pop culture and technology. Having transitioned away from defacing other’s property, he now derives a sense of satisfaction and completion when “refacing” his own work. Binary thinking, societal dichotomies and decimal areas fuel his use of grey-scale; while his fascination with the communication between analog digital worlds is explored in his work with experimental media and organic pixelation.
